Blue Ridge Folklife Festival – October 28, 2023

Bench Show, Treeing Contest, Water Race
FESTIVAL ADMISSION:
Festival admission is free to owners of contest dogs and the owner’s companions arriving in the same vehicle. This offer is limited to two adults and two children (age 15 and under).
DOG CONTEST REGISTRATION FEES:
The Back Creek Coon Club, which manages the festival dog contests, charges $12 for bench show entries, $5 for treeing contest entries, and $12 for water race entries. The fees will be collected when you sign in at the dog area of the festival.
PRIZES:
BENCH SHOW: Top Place Finishers will receive a trophy or ribbon.
TREEING CONTEST: Top Place Finishers will receive a trophy or ribbon, plus a share of the treeing contest entry fees.
(The Back Creek Coon Club keeps 50% of the treeing contest entry fees, and the remaining 50% is divided among treeing contest winners.)
WATER RACE: Top Place Finishers will receive a trophy or ribbon plus cash awards as follows:
Division One: 1st line-$80/2nd line-$40/1st tree-$80/2nd tree-$40
Division Two: 1st line-$50/2nd line-$30/1st tree-$50/2nd tree-$30
Division Three: 1st line-$30/2nd line-$20/1st tree-$30/2nd tree-$20
REGISTRATION CUT-OFF:
Bench Show– No later than 9:45 a.m.
Treeing Contest–No later than 11:45 a.m.
Open Water Race– No later than 1:15.

PERMISSIONS AND LIABILITIES: By submitting this registration form to enter your animals in the Blue Ridge Folklife Festival, October 22, 2022, you are agreeing to the following:
1. Ferrum College, its sponsors, directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be held liable for any injury or damage incurred by myself, my entry(s), my helpers, my animals, or my property before, during, or after the Blue Ridge Folklife Festival.
2. I accept liability and responsibility for an damage or injuries my animals cause to any person or property before, during, or after the Blue Ridge Folklife Festival.
3. I will conduct myself in a safe and courteous manner at all times.
4. I grant Ferrum College the right to photograph, video, and/or record me and my entry(s) at the Blue Ridge Folklife Festival in any medium, and to use my name, photograph, and/or likeness in any reasonable manner, including publication in any medium.
